How can I become a Guide Runner?

If you would like to become a Guide Runner, a good place to start is by attending a Sight loss awareness and guide running course run by England Athletics.

Attending this course is your first step to becoming a licensed Guide Runner and getting listed on British Blind Sport's Find a Guide database.

You can also become a Guide Runner without getting a license. You can express your interest to your local society who might be able to match you with someone with sight loss. Use the Sightline Directory and the keywords "local society" to find your local organisation.

British Blind Sport have put together a guide to guide running, and one of our own Connect members has put together a great factsheet of top tips called "How to be a Guide Runner".
