What are the keyboard shortcuts for Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA)?

For many people with sight problems the most effective way to use a computer is with keyboard commands (also called shortcuts or hotkeys).

We have put together a list of keyboard shortcuts for NVDA:

You can also get a list of shortcuts for an application by using its help option (usually by pressing F1 or going to the Help menu) and browsing the contents or searching for "keyboard", "shortcut" or "accessibility".

If you would like help switching from JAWS to NVDA, there is a guide on how to do this on the NVDA community hub.

NVDA have also produced a "Basic training for NVDA" eBook which you can buy through the NVDA website.

For shortcuts for other applications please see our Technology training and support page on our main website.
