How can I make my landline phone more accessible?

We sell a range of landline or home telephones - corded and cordless - that have features that make it easier for you to use them if you have sight loss. These include:

  • big buttons with high contrast between the numbers and the rest of the button, so that you can feel and see them more easily
  • some have large, easy-to-see displays that show you the number that you're dialing
  • buttons to dial your favourite numbers automatically
  • some even talk to you - confirming what buttons you are pressing.

For more advice about choosing an accessible phone - landline or mobile - call our Accessible Technology Sales Team on 0845 900 0015 or email tfl@rnib.org.uk

As with any product, it's worthwhile trying it out first to see if it meets your needs. Try searching our Sightline Directory for a resource centre near you where you can try out telephones and other useful products to help you in your daily life.
