I can't use public transport, is there anyone who can help me to travel?

If you are unable to access local public transport, you should be able to use your local Community transport option, a door-to-door transport service that:

  • is often called ‘Dial-a-Ride’, ‘Dial-a-Journey’ or ‘Ring and Ride’
  • needs to be booked in advance
  • may have a cost, but is usually cheaper than a taxi
  • cannot be used for regular daily trips, such as getting to and from work
  • is usually run by your local council, transport authority or a local society. Some run regular shopping trips and local shop mobility schemes.

Local community transport services can be found on the Community Transport Association website or call your local council or authority. To find contact information for your local council or authority, visit Sightline Directory.
