How can I find out about access arrangements for taking tests an exams for learners with a vision impairment?
A wide range of access arrangements exist to enable vision impaired learners to take national curriculum tests (SATs) and public exams such as GCSE and Scottish Highers.
These include modified papers in accessible formats, extra time and the use of technology or human support. It is important that any access arrangements do not conflict with the nature and purpose of the assessment, so the rules around their use can be quite strict.
