How do the SEND reforms affect blind and partially sighted children?

The Children and Families Act 2014 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice set out a vision for changing the way children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities and their parents are supported.

This means changes for the professionals who work with them in education, health and social care. We have developed resources which will provide information on making the SEND reforms work for children and young people with vision impairment and their families.

Further information can be found on our SEND reform webpages.
