Does RNIB offer any grants?

Our grants service offers up to £500 towards useful items to help registered blind and partially sighted people live independently. To qualify you must:

  • be a resident in the UK
  • be registered as blind or partially sighted
  • be receiving a means-tested benefit
  • have been unable to get funding for the items from your local authority
  • have savings less than £6,000
  • not have had a grant in the last three years

We are able to consider grants towards the following items:

We only have limited funds, so for some items we are only able to consider funding towards them if they are within our maximum price limits. Due to our limited funds, we cannot offer any funding towards OrCam glasses.
