Where can I get more help with making a claim for PIP?

If you would like any more information about PIP or assistance with completing the claim form, you can speak to our Advice team. Our Legal Rights Service can also help you with the appeals process if you have been refused PIP and would like to challenge the decision, or you think you should be awarded more than you have been.

Please call our Helpline on 0303 123 9999 Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm or email helpline@rnib.org.uk who can put you in touch with our specialist advice services and our form filling service.

If you have any questions about your PIP claim, you can also call the DWP’s PIP helpline on 0345 850 3322 (0345 601 6677 if you use a textphone).

Our PIP toolkit

Our PIP toolkit is an online guide to completing part two of the PIP claim form (or the "PIP2 form").

It identifies the PIP “descriptors” that are most relevant to many blind and partially sighted people. The descriptors are the legal tests you must satisfy to score the points you need to get PIP.
