How much would it cost to put a sight loss adviser in every eye department?

We estimate the annual cost of a full time sight loss adviser is about £40,000. This isn’t just the salary, but includes training and support costs as well.

For 200 sight loss advisers across the UK, the total cost, including 8 per cent for local management and 10 per cent towards overheads would amount to £7.8 million per year at current costs.
