If 'being there' is your most urgent need, why haven’t you done it sooner?

We’re responding to what our members and people with sight loss have told us - that being there for people when they’re told they’re losing their sight is the most important thing we can do.

A lack of capacity in eye clinics also means that clinicians have less time than ever to spend with patients. The problem is at an all time high, which is why we need sight loss advisers more than ever.

We’ve been lobbying health and social care services to make this happen across the whole of the UK. In some areas there is an excellent service, but it’s patchy at best.
