Help

Ask RNIB helps you find answers to your questions about sight loss. Your question will either be answered in full, or we'll direct you to another website where you'll find further information. For each answer you can tell us if it was useful or not.

If you are having problems finding the information you require, hopefully the tips below will help.

This Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) search engine uses natural language search, which means it looks for the main concepts behind the question or phrase you have entered, in addition to matching 'keywords'. You will have more success finding an answer if you use normal language in your question, and remember to include a few important words relating to the information you are looking for.

The way you word your question is not crucial - it's the meaning behind the words that is important. The same question, if posed in a number of different ways, will return similar results.

  • Only ask one question at a time.
  • Keep your questions simple and precise. Simple questions always get the most accurate results.
  • If your question does not return useful results, first check your spelling - particularly of technical terms.

After your search is complete, any relevant FAQs will be presented in a list.

If you have a question that you can't find an answer to, or if you want any further help, please contact us or call RNIB's Helpline on 0303 123 9999 (Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.30pm)
