My vision was affected by a stroke, will it improve?

Some people may see some improvement in their vision up to four months following a stroke. This is will depend on where the damage in the brain occurred, the type of stroke and any other existing health problems. There are different techniques that can be used to try to help deal with the visual effects of stroke, these can include glasses, prisms on glasses, patching, magnifiers and visual scanning techniques.

Unfortunately for many people, especially those with loss of visual field, sight loss may be permanent.
