Am I entitled to Carer's Allowance?

You and the person you care for have to meet certain criteria to make a successful claim for Carer's Allowance. As the carer, you have to be 16 or over, not in full-time education, earn less than £116 a week, and spend 35 hours or more looking after someone. The person you look after must be on certain benefits.

Take a look at our information on benefits for carers to see if you meet the criteria for Carer's Allowance and what other help you could be entitled to.
