How do I claim PIP?

If you are in England, Scotland or Wales you can request a PIP claim form from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by calling:

  • For new claims:

  • For existing claims:
    • 0800 1214433
    • Textphone: 0800 121 4493

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.

If you are in Northern Ireland you can request a PIP claim form from NI Direct by calling:

  • For new claims to PIP:
    • 0800 012 1573
    • textphone: 0800 012 1574
  • For existing claims:
    • 0800 587 0932
    • textphone: 0800 587 0937

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.

Please note: If you're aged between 16-64 on or after 8 April 2013 you will be invited to claim PIP if previously on DLA. However, If you're already 65 or over on 8 April 2013, then you will not be reassessed for PIP and will remain on DLA. In Northern Ireland this is from 20 June 2016.
